Opportunity for a Latinist to join the successful and energetic Dept of Classics & Ancient History at the University of Warwick. This job arises as a result of the move of Prof. Andrew Laird to Brown University, from 1st September 2016. It offers a permanent post for an early career scholar of exceptional promise and track record in both teaching and research. We would welcome applications from scholars with interests in critical theory, reception studies and Republican/imperial Latin Literature, but invite applicants with any expertise in Latin literature and Roman thought to apply. The department currently works closely with the Centre for Renaissance Studies, the Italian Department within the School for Modern Languages, Liberal Arts, and the Departments of English and Comparative Literature and Philosophy, but would welcome opportunities to develop teaching and research alongside colleagues in other departments and faculties.
