Following recent success in the AHRC Block Grant Partnership competition, the University of Reading invites applications from well qualified students for a Doctoral studentship to commence in 2009 in the following area:

Italian Language and Culture

The University of Reading has an international reputation for the excellence of its research. Its Graduate Schools provide state-of-the-art facilities which complement excellent dedicated training and research support.

UK students who satisfy certain residency criteria are eligible for awards covering fees at the Home/EU rate and provide a maintenance grant in line with the national level set by the UK Research Councils. Students from EU countries other than the UK who satisfy certain residency criteria are eligible to apply for fees-only awards. Many Schools and Departments also offer supplementary funding in the form of bursaries and opportunities for teaching and research support.
