PROGRAMME VACANCES-TRAVAIL ENTRE LE CANADA ET L'ITALIE

Les programmes internationaux d'échange permettent aux étudiants et aux jeunes travailleurs de travailler temporairement dans un autre pays où ils peuvent améliorer leur connaissance de la langue, culture et de la société du pays d'accueil.
Le programme vacances travail entre le Canada et l'Italie a pour but de fournir à la jeunesse canadienne et italienne, âgée entre 18 et 35 ans (inclus), l'occasion de combiner des périodes d'emploi avec des périodes de loisir et d'explorer ces deux pays.
Qui est éligible pour faire la demande>
Afin d'être éligibles pour participer à ce programme, les demandeurs doivent
1. être un(e) citoyen(ne) italien(ne) résidant en Italie, et
2. être âgé(e) entre 18 et 35 ans (inclus)
Les citoyens italiens qui désirent participer à ce programme vacances-travail doivent compiler et nous retourner le formulaire de demande soit par courrier ou en personne de 9hrs à 17hrs à l'adresse suivant:

Votre demande doit inclure tous les documents suivants:
* Des frais de participation de 88 par traite bancaire seulement;
* Une photocopie de la page identité de votre passeport italien valide. Ne nous envoyez pas votre passeport;
* Deux photos format passeport;
* Une lettre confirmant que vous présentez une demande comme participant au "programme vacances-travail - Italie" et que vous allez entrer au Canada avec:
- un billet aller-retour;
- un minimum de 1,500 dollars canadiens, montant minimum accepté pour votre soutien financier pendant toute la période de votre participation à ce programme d'échange;
- une assurance comprenant une couverture complète en cas d'hospitalisation, couvrant les frais médicaux de même que la responsabilité civile pour toute la période de votre séjour au Canada.

GENERAL INFORMATION
The Istituto accepts no more than two interns every three months. Pay is not granted by the Istituto which is in favour of establishing a collaboration with Italian and foreign Universities that economically support the students stay in the Toronto area. It is compulsory that the interns obtain, at their expense, a comprehensive insurance that covers medical expenses and other risks linked to the stay in Toronto. The Institute accepts all applications of those candidates with the means to sustain the expense of living in Toronto of a minimum of $1000 Canadian per month.
REQUISITES
We expect students to be close to obtain or to have obtained at least an Italian Major Degree (i.e. laurea Specialistica) and not to be older than 26 years of age. Discipline, autonomy, flexibility and a great predisposition towards the establishment of interpersonal relations are essential qualities to work in a dynamic environment, as it is the Istituto. Its also fundamental that the applying intern has a good knowledge of English, as it is required for an interview in order to confirm of his/her language skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
The interns will have to perform the following tasks:
* Telephone management and e-mail relations with the public interested in information on Italy in English;
* Be computer savvy;
* Preferably be competent in website management for regular updates;
* Be available to draft reports in Italian; maintain the document archives and management of our small multimedia library;
* Be competent in cultural information research on Italian and North American media and have editorial abilities to draft information of cultural events, press releases etc;
* Be available for 37 hours per week; including evening hours for assistance to cultural events organized by the Istituto.
PERIOD
For local reasons the periods are only a suggestion, but may change due to needs. Sessions are from the beginning of September to January 15, from January 15 to April 15, from April 15 to July 15. Repeat intern experiences are not allowed.
ADVANTAGES
The Istituto guarantees a pleasing and stimulating work experience, offers an informal and friendly work environment based on teamwork. Interns are assisted by a tutor, which provides them guidance and information not only inside the office but also during their pursuing of personal study projects in their spare time. Interns are encouraged to participate in the citys cultural life.
Suggestions:
Visitors to Canada do not require a visa if entering as a tourist for a maximum of three to six months. Information on Working-Holiday Program between Canada and Italy can be found here.
The Istituto can assist the interns in searching comfortable accommodations at reasonable prices. Please note that with the present real estate market the cost of an independent and acceptable apartment is of approximately Can$600 per month.
