Free summer seminars
Explore the ideas of liberty! Spend a week with 60 of your peers exploring ideas, hearing lectures from top faculty, and discussing opinions, thoughts, and ideas all day and into the night. Participation is free*. IHS provides housing in a US College, meals, and books during the seminar.

Humane Studies Fellowships
Scholarships up to $12,000 for undergraduate or graduate study in the United States or abroad. Humane Studies Fellowships are awarded by the Institute for Humane Studies to students interested in exploring the principles, practices, and institutions necessary for a free society through their academic work. The application deadline for the 2010-2011 school year is December 31, 2009.

Film & Fiction Scholarships
Film & Fiction Scholarships of up to $10,000 are awarded by the Institute for Humane Studies to students pursuing a Master of Fine Arts degree and who share an appreciation for the potential and promise of a free society. During the past ten years, IHS has awarded more than $270,000 in scholarships. The application deadline for the 2010-2011 school year is January 15, 2010.

Hayek Fund for Scholars
The Hayek Fund for Scholars provides awards of up to $1,000 to graduate students and untenured faculty members for career-advancing activities. The award is open to graduate students who intend to pursue academic careers and untenured faculty members whose academic work contributes to the understanding of the principles, practices, and institutions necessary to a free society or to the understanding of the classical liberal or libertarian tradition. Applications are accepted on a rolling basis.
