You will conduct research in an area of Italian Studies both individually and in collaboration with colleagues inside and outside the Department. You will have a proven record of achievement in research, with clear potential for and/or demonstrated excellence in publication in an area or areas of Italian Studies compatible with those established by the Department. You will possess experience of or potential for participation in collaborative grant applications and management.

You will have experience of undergraduate teaching and the capacity to teach and supervise undergraduate and postgraduate students to a high standard, contributing also to curriculum development. You will participate as appropriate in the administration of the Department's activities. You will have a 2:1 honours degree and a PhD in Italian Studies or equivalent level of qualification.
