lecturer (Insegnamento Lingua Italiana)
The Department of Languages wishes to appoint a Lecturer in Italian. The successful candidate will have native or near-native fluency in Italian, a degree in a relevant subject and experience of teaching the language as a foreign language at undergraduate level. You will also be able to demonstrate experience of or the ability to teach Italian translation and interpreting.
The main focus of the post is to deliver language teaching at all levels and on a variety of courses including undergraduate, postgraduate and commercial courses, and to carry out administrative tasks as required by the Head of Department in order to ensure the smooth operation of all of the teaching provision. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the research profile of the Department of Languages in an aspect of Italian studies with particular emphasis on Linguistics or Translation Studies.
