The School of Modern Languages at the University of St Andrews is pleased to invite applications for the new Gapper scholarship, available for an outstanding student who wishes to undertake doctoral studies in French or comparative literature with a French component, starting in September 2010. The scholarship is worth 8,000£ per year, for a period of three years of full-time doctoral study, or to be adapted accordingly for part time study. This amount will pay for home/EU tuition fees (currently 3,400£ per year), with the remainder of the sum contributing to maintenance. To be considered for the scholarship, candidates must have registered by 30 April 2010.
