Project period: 1st March — 30th November 2011 / 9 project months
General information: Two volunteers, who wish to work with kids 8- 13 aged, to create and implement new ideas in activities with them among nature there are needed.
Goals:
Children stimulation to systematically and purposefully communication with nature and care for it.
Formation of positive emotional adjustment and research spirit in the children through their contacts with the nature.
Accumulation of knowledge in children the basic principles of volunteering
Creation of tolerance in relationships among students from local schools in the region.
Activities:
1.Introduction the EVS volunteers to cultural institutions and community in the town of Lovech.
2.Daily ecovacation — implementation of tourist hikes during the spring holiday. They will be accomplished for a period of a half day by routes in the environs of Lovech. Kids will be introduced with nature and historical sightseeings through interactive games.
Volunteers ‘ act:
- Creation of advertizing materials/ fliers for kids’ camp popularization. Meetings with children in six local schools. Volunteers will be accompanied and supported with a representative of the hosting organization.
- Participation in eco – routs realization; participation in games and parties in the open.
- Participation in preparation and implementation of International Earth Day – 22nd April with kids – participants in the camps and eco – vacations.
- Preparation of written and photo materials for the initiative’s publication in local media and web sites of the hosting organization.
Daily language camp
The daily language camp will take place in Youth Centre – Lovech and in the open in a park close to the centre. There are included funny games, homemade things, English language communication with a view to making kids’ language skills better.
- Creation of Power Point Presentations from each of volunteers in relation of national and cultural identity of their native countries and places. The EVS volunteers will introduce children with them during the camp.
- Preparation of a Camp’s Program with funny games, posters, masks, different objects from waste and etc.
- Creation of advertizing materials/ fliers for kids’ camp popularization Meetings with children in six local schools. Volunteers will be accompanied and supported with a representative of the hosting organization.
-Program implementation with the support of project staff and 25th kids (8-10 aged) from local Lovech schools.
- Preparation of written and photo materials for the initiative’s publication in local media and web sites of the hosting organization.

We will choose 6 candidates and they will send a questionnaire to be completed in order to choose two volunteers for our project.
