The School of Journalism, Media and Communication is pleased to announce two bursaries for the MA (by Research) in the field of English or related literatures. Each bursary would cover the cost of fees for one year of full-time study [subject to satisfactory progress]. The bursary will cover the cost of tuition fees for UK/EU residents. The successful applicants will start on 1 January 2012.

Project Description

Research topics are open for consideration, depending on staff expertise, but we would particularly welcome applications in the areas of modern and contemporary English and/or American poetry, North American fiction and/or drama, Anglo-Irish literature, the Renaissance and children's literature. Proposals in related areas of cultural enquiry will also be considered on an individual basis.

You will require the ability to conduct sustained independent research. A good first degree (2:1 or above) in English literature or related subject in the field of cultural studies.
