HOST ORGANISATION: Village Council ( Ayuntamiento) of Villada ( Department of Palencia)

Vacancies: two volunteers from 7th May to 7th November 2012 , 6 months

ACTIVITIES

-Social project supporting activities with elderly people in Residence

- Dynamic support of the Child Care Center with children (games, parties ..)

Furthermore, The volunteer will participate in special events as cultural activities or festivals with great impact in Baltanás in the summer. The two volunteers will work together learning directly about the popular reality, and with input from their own training and experience.

- Villada Library : Supporting reading activities ( animation …)

- Cooperation in cultural activities that will take place in the Cultural Center of Villada The volunteer will participate in activities as conferences, presentations, exhibitions, concerts …

- Supporting to the Spanish and European pilgrims and tourist in the Saint James’ Way ( UNESCO Word Heritage and The first Europea Cultural Route) )

- Summer School Program called "Growing in the summer" with children

- Youth information activities, working on line, by paper or by email and then sending it to the young people.

- Cultural & Traditional Events ( Fires, Carnivals.. ) mainly in the summer.

- Translating to their mother tongue the tourist information in the Municipally web page

- Activities on the volunteer based on their training, experience and country (tradition, gastronomy ...), and activity in the final weeks of the project through power point or speaking about the project, programme, ... This could also be with a video. This document will be incorporated into the municipal website.

- Supporting village blog with their experience.
