Importante: Il rimborso dei biglietti avverrà a seguito della presentazione dei giustificativi di viaggio.Il costo è di 70 Euro (40 euro per il tesseramento 2012 all'Associazione e 30 euro per la quota di pertecipazione) e, come per tutti gli scambi interculturali, vitto, alloggio e 70% delle spese di viaggio sono coperte dall'associazione ospitante

The Jan Karski International Institute for Dialogue and Tolerance in co-operation Youth Association DRONI are looking for partner organizations for a Training Course about Migration and Mobility.

The training will take place in Upper Silesia, Poland, and will last for 7 days – in February 2012.

During the project the participants, will have the opportunity to learn about:

 the history of migrations,

 the key triggers and reasons for migrations in Europe and the neighboring countries,

 the consequences of immigration and emigration for countries and communities,

 the problem of trafficking in Europe,

 the challenges and risks for young people,

 good practices and funding opportunities for projects in the field of Migration and Mobility.

General project objectives:

 To facilitate and exchange of experience and good practice in youth work, related to international migration and mobility and its influence on young people in EU and EECA countries.

 To train youth workers in addressing the challenges and opportunities resulting from migration with young people in their community

 To promote European co-operation between youth organisations in the field of migration and youth mobility

 To develop new initiatives in the field of migration and mobility for young people within the framework of the Youth in Action Programme as well as outside of it Organizations interested in participating in the Training Course

Upper Silesia

The project will take place in the region of Upper Silesia in the south of Poland. To make it easy for you in buying the tickets and planning your journey, I’ve added a small map, so you can get the general idea. The pick up point will be in Katowice, from where we will organize transport to our final place – Górki Wielkie, where in the old residence of the Kossak Family we will do our training: http://www.koss-schronisko.pl/en,schronisko.html . It’s best if you plan your flight directly to Katowice Airport, from where you’ll need to take a shuttle bus to the center. f you arrive in Warsaw or Cracow, then you’ll need to take a train. For people traveling by train from the south – most of the international trains from Budapest, Vienna, or Prague pass through Katowice. Train from Warsaw to Katowice – Intercity or Express every hour, the journey takes 3 h. The cost is about 130 PLN one way (260 there and back) Train from Cracow to Katowice – local REGIO train, every 1,5h, the journey takes about 1-1,5 h, you can also take a shuttle from the Bus Station (which is much faster). The cost is about 15 PLN one way (30 there and back)
