We are pleased to offer FOUR full Research Studentships to start in the aca=
demic year 2012-2013.
The studentships are only available to Home UK and EU candidates. Successfu=
l candidates will register for a PhD degree. For these awards, the Institut=
e of Humanities and Social Science Research (IHSSR) at Manchester Metropoli=
tan University will provide home tuition fees (approx =A33,800 p.a. for 201=
2/2013) and a subsistence bursary (=A312,000 p.a.)
The studentships may be taken in any of the areas of activity within the In=
stitute:
=A7 English
=A7 History
=A7 Human Geography
=A7 Information & Communications
=A7 Languages and Linguistics
=A7 Philosophy
=A7 Politics - restricted to Latin American politics (especially Cuba); so=
cialist thought and public sector welfare/reform (Big Society)
=A7 Sociology
