Non tenure Track position - Temple University (Insegnamento Lingua Italiana)
The Department of French, German, Italian, Slavic of Temple University (Philadelphia, PA), seeks to fill a full-time non-tenure-track position in Italian to teach the language at all levels and possibly assist in coordinating Italian language courses beginning in late August, 2013. This is a one year position with the possibility of renewal. The teaching load will be 12 credits per semester; courses at all levels in Italian literature and/or culture taught in Italian or English may also be included. Minimum qualification: M.A. in Italian; however, the ABD or Ph. D. in Italian Studies is highly preferred. Greater preference will be given to applicants with preparation and experience in technology-assisted instruction and foreign language pedagogy. Demonstrated evidence of excellence in teaching at the college level is required. Applicants must have near-native or native fluency in Italian and English. Deadline for the submission of materials is April 15, 2013.
