Applications are invited for a nine-month, fixed-term post of Teaching Associate in Italian Studies, specialising in the literature and culture of Italy in the renaissance and early modern periods.

Candidates will be educated to degree level, normally with a PhD in a relevant field and a record of research and publication in Italian renaissance and/or early modern studies. Preference will be given to candidates who have prior experience of giving lectures and seminars to undergraduate and/or masters students as well as experience of developing teaching material for lectures and seminars. The post is based in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages, in the University of Cambridge.

The successful candidate will be required to give lectures, seminars and tutorials to undergraduate students, and to offer seminar teaching and supervision to MPhil students in the Faculty of Modern and Medieval Languages. They will be expected to assist in the writing and marking of undergraduate examinations, and to undertake Departmental administrative duties as necessary.

The post is full-time for a fixed period of 9 months from 1 October 2016 to 30 June 2017. The post-holder will be entitled to join the Universities Superannuation Pension Scheme.
