Research assistant, Cultural policy research (Insegnamento Lingua Italiana)
The Centre for Cultural Policy Research wishes to appoint a Research Assistant to work on the project Public Understanding of Business: Television, Representation and Entrepreneurship'. The post holder will contribute to the project aims, undertaking desk research as well as conducting interviews and/or focus groups.
You will have excellent research and organisational skills, and the ability to work flexibly as part of a small team and reliably as an individual. Knowledge of the television sector and familiarity with current debates around television, representation and media influence is highly desirable.
The successful candidate will work under the supervision of the lead investigator, Raymond Boyle, and the Centre's Academic Director, Professor Philip Schlesinger.
The post is available from 1 January 2009 until 31 December 2010.

I'm a documentary film maker. I graduate in English Literature and Language 8 years ago and I've been working on documentaries the last 6 years. I find your proposal very interesting because my documentaries are focused right on reality representation and media influences on our society. I've just finished a documentary on representation of Mafia's image nowadays - if you're interested I could send you a copy of it.
