Alla Stazione di Castelfranco Veneto – At Castelfranco Veneto railway station

Buenaventura is not in the city centre, and no public means of transport will take you there, because it doesn't exist (well, in a way it exists, but nobody knows about the routes, the timetables etc., you'll see, the buses are always empty apart from during school hours; if you see somebody inside a bus, apart from the driver, we'll pay you a cold beer).

There are 4 possible solutions to get to Buenaventura:

  1. Take a taxi. There are 4 taxis in Castelfranco, they are normally waiting outside the train station (if there aren't any, just wait a while). The ride only takes a few minutes and cost about 6-7 euro, no more, to the main centre. The phone number to the Taxi Company is 0423 494296. You can ask at the hotel reception to call a taxi for you. Please note that the taxis only run until 23:00 since after that time there are no trains arriving to Castelfranco. Problems? See option 4.

Can you call me a taxi to BV, please?Mi potrebbe chiamare un taxi per il BV, per favore?

To Buenaventura, pleaseAl BV, per cortesia.

The taxi driver does not necessarily know where Buenaventura is, so please tell him the address, or tell him that it is next to the Q8 gasoline station, on the western ring road:

Il Buenaventura si trova in circonvallazione ovest 23, vicino al distributore Q8 e Fraccaro Spumadoro

  2. ask the hotel staff to explain you the way to Buenaventura

Can you please tell me the way to BV?Mi puo' spiegare la strada per andare al BV?

Can you draw me a map, please?Mi potrebbe disegnare il percorso per favore?

  3. ask the people you come across of your way to Buenaventura In this case the questions are the same as above. Younger people are more likely to know where we are, and to speak English too.
  4. Give Buenaventura a SOS call. Emma will have her cell-phone turned on 24-7, number:+39-3283780781

Passing by the city main square, Piazza Giorgione, you may notice a big white tent (10x25 meters) at the end of the piazza. This is the TEH tent, so if you are lost go there and there will be someone ready to help you, or otherwise there will be somebody willing to drink a couple of beers with you!

So, in a way or another:

Welcome to Buenaventura! Benvenuti al Buenaventura!
